Ragland Piano Company is owned and operated by me - Howard Gustafson. I am a second-generation piano technician with over 25 years experience with all types of pianos, including player pianos.  My career started as a preteen helping my father with minor tasks in his shop, followed a few years later by a decade associated with one of the largest music stores in the Memphis, TN area.  I relocated to Texarkana, TX in 1996 and a year later opened Ragland Piano Company in its present location at 314 Main Street.  I have three boys, the oldest of whom has started assisting me in the shop after school - the third generation to work in the piano business.  This is what I have done professionally all my adult life.

Only four years old, near mint condition, plays and sounds great.  Was a house brand for a store chain in Georgia.  Made by ASC (American Sejung Corporation), maker of George Steck among other brands.  Very much worth considering if you are looking for a newer model baby grand.  Slow close fallboard, duplex scale.

These models were produced only a short time before the name was changed.  The rights to the Opus name belong to Steinway, who requested the change.  To the best of my knowledge there is no affiliation between this company and Steinway.

Many sellers on Ebay are only offering their pianos "as-is" or "condition unknown".  NOT US!!!  Even though it's only a few years old and needed very little, this piano has gone through our in-house service facility- click here to see a photo tutorial that shows the reconditioning process.  All keys play properly, the pedals work, and it has been tuned to standard pitch - A440.

Make the smart choice and choose a piano that has been professionally inspected/serviced/reconditioned by an experienced, reputable dealer or technician (even if it's not me!)  Take time, do some research, buy from a reputable source and avoid some of the pitfalls that often come from buying the wrong piano from the wrong source.
