Ragland Piano Company is owned and operated by me - Howard Gustafson. I am a second-generation piano technician with over 25 years experience with all types of pianos, including player pianos. My career started as a preteen helping my father with minor tasks in his shop, followed a few years later by a decade associated with one of the largest music stores in the Memphis, TN area. I relocated to Texarkana, TX in 1996 and a year later opened Ragland Piano Company in its present location at 314 Main Street. I have three boys, the oldest of whom has started assisting me in the shop after school - the third generation to work in the piano business. This is what I have done professionally all my adult life.

Very nice baby grand piano. In the early 1990's it was refinished (professional closed pore finish, not amateur job!), restrung, regulated (new hammers and dampers as well). All still in excellent condition. Strong bass, clear treble, a wonderful piano. Bench and delivery within 300 miles included.
Many sellers on Ebay are only offering their pianos "as-is" or "condition unknown". NOT US!!! Besides being rebuilt in the early 1990's, this piano has been serviced in our own in-house service facility- click here to see a photo tutorial that shows the reconditioning process. All keys play properly, the pedals work, and it has been tuned to standard pitch - A440.
Make the smart choice and choose a piano that has been professionally reconditioned by an experienced, reputable dealer or technician (even if it's not me!) Take time, do some research, buy from a reputable source and avoid some of the pitfalls that often come from buying the wrong piano from the wrong source.
