Diskette Hints

If you do not have any 3.5" double density diskettes, don't give up yet. Get a high-density diskette, hold it as though you are going to insert it into the disk drive. Notice the hole in the lower right corner, opposite the write-protect hole in the lower left corner? Cover that hole with opaque tape (like the old 5.25" diskettes used for write protect tabs). Now, try formatting the disk as a double density diskette - it should work fine. This technique works on all of the brands of diskettes I have tried. Of course, if it doesn't, (or if you are out of high density disks too!) then you will have to purchase some 3.5" double density diskettes.

Hope this helped!
